Notebook Computer

The notebook computer has become so popular largely due to college students and the traveling businessman/woman. These computers provide all of the necessary programs and computing power of a standard computer, but with the added convenience of being readily portable. In many cases, these computers are so slim that they can be easily stored in a backpack or briefcase.

The notebook computer, as we know it today, is a relative newcomer to the computer industry. In the past decade, improvements in digital technology has enabled computer manufacturers to create designs that are lightweight and slim, but have enormous computing power. In fact, the notebooks that are available today are often hundreds of times for powerful than what we once used to send man to the moon.

The future of the notebook computer is fuzzy. Advances in technology, including the invention of the touch screen, have opened up new possibilities for computer makers around the world. What is sure, however, is that the idea of a small, compact computer is showing now signs of becoming extinct.
