Laptop Computer

The laptop computer is arguably the most popular type of computer currently being sold. It has quickly taken over as the primary computer for most households, replacing the standard desktop variety. Nearly every computer manufacturer produces at least one model of laptop, and most offer several options.

While the laptop computer has been in existence for nearly two decades, they weren’t always them slim, streamlined affairs we see today. The earliest versions were actually quite bulky, looking more like a small suitcase than a notebook. However, if you could afford them, they did offer a major step up from other computers of the day, mainly due to the fact that they were “relatively” portable.

Today however, the laptop computer is a fraction of the size of the first generation, and vastly more powerful as well. In fact, the average laptop today has exponentially more memory and computing power as anything that existed even a decade ago. And as technology continues to improve, these computers are sure to continue this trend.
