The computer motherboard is essentially the brain of any given computer. It is the central component of every computer and is what powers and connects all of the other components within the system. Without the motherboard, modern computers wouldn’t exist.
The purpose of a computer motherboard is to hold the central processor. This processor is what coordinates all of the other components and tells them what to do. Every single part of a computer connects to this board in one way or another.
A computer motherboard is made up of several key components. First there is the central processing unit (CPU) that essentially runs everything. Busses are also important, as they are what connect one part of the motherboard to another. And of course, memory chips are also attached to the motherboard as well.
